WRiting Contest #1 - Poetry

Have you ever had a brilliant idea for a machine that would make your life easier, like a robot that dispenses boba at the push of a button? Or felt frustrated at an injustice you’ve witnessed, at home or out in the world? Have you ever wished that you could move to a new city and change your identity? Daydreamed about being able to bring one of your fantastical drawings to life? Or what kind of content you’d produce for your YouTube channel?

For this writing contest, we invite you to write a poem that celebrates invention. Whether that means solving a problem, engineering a device, developing a process, or even changing something about yourself, we encourage all BASA students to submit one free verse, structured, or rhyming poem to our contest by Oct. 22nd.

How to participate

Word Count:

as many words as you feel necessary to convey your ideas
