BASA Book Clubs is a year-long add-on program for current students to promote lifelong reading. Each BASA Book Club is separated into different age groups, with books curated by BASA Teachers. Students read 5 books throughout the year and attend 15 total book club classes. The specific dates and schedule for BASA Book Clubs are listed below:

Book Club Class Times

  • Grade 2 - Saturdays 4:00 pm to 4:50 pm

  • Grade 3 - Saturdays 5:00 pm to 5:50 pm

  • Grade 4 - Saturdays 10:30 am to 11:20 am

  • Grade 5 - Saturdays 11:30 am to 12:20 pm

  • Grade 6 - Fridays 7:00 pm to 7:50 pm

  • Grade 7 - Fridays 8:00 pm to 8:50 pm

Friday Book Club Dates (Grades 6 & 7)

  • Book #1 (October 17th, October 24th, October 31st)

  • Book #2 (November 14th, November 21st, November 28th)

  • Book #3 (January 16th, January 23rd, January 30th)

  • Book #4 (April 10th, April 17th, April 24th) 

  • Book #5 (May 22nd, May 29th, June 5th)

Saturday Book Club Dates (Grades 2-5)

  • Book #1 (October 18th, October 25th, November 1st)

  • Book #2 (November 15th, November 22nd, November 29th) 

  • Book #3 (January 17th, January 24th, January 31st)

  • Book #4 (April 11th, April 18th, April 25th) 

  • Book #5 (May 23rd, May 30th, June 6th) 

During each BASA Book Club meeting, students will have the opportunity to read, analyze, and reflect on the texts in question, discuss and share their thoughts and opinions, and make connections to their experiences and lives. These sessions will all be in-person at the BASA studio, there is not a digital registration option available at this time.
