Diverse Voices, Diverse Stories
Join us in our ongoing mission to include Diverse Voices, Diverse Stories in our teaching practice! This month, we invite students to read books inspired by Orange Shirt Day, a day to promote awareness and knowledge of the residential school system in Canada and its lasting effects on Indigenous communities. Chicken Soup for the Soul Random Acts of Kindness Challenge
Last year, we asked students to join our School of Fish in the Sea of Gratitude on a wall in the BASA lobby. Our sea was filled with so many fish that the wall was totally full! This year, we will be hosting the Chicken Soup for the Soul Random Acts of Kindness Challenge. We challenge our students to perform weekly acts of kindness for the rest of the term and to help BASA raise 250 cans of soup for the Food Bank. For every 20 student acts of kindness, BASA will donate a can of soup to the food bank. Click on the image for more details!
